我揣摩很久都不明白這段是什麼意思。後來我終於明白，原來是這樣的：Clarice 知道 Lecter 其實用 Iron Sulfide 這個字的字母，掉亂後變成 Louis Friend (Louis Friend 是 Iron Sulfide 的anagrams),而 Iron Sulfide 這種化合物，其顏色與金很像，以前掘金的人很容易混餚 Iron sulphide 及黃金! Lecture 故意用 iron sulfide 這化合物 的 anagram Louis friend 來玩弄該女議員。
